Chapter Philanthropy and Service

The members of our chapter enjoy reaching out to our community. We participate in various philanthropic activities and these may change from year to year.  In the past, we have provided "Patient Bags" for the children at St. Jude and our local children's hospital which included things like crayons, stickers, paper, small games, etc., to play with while they wait for doctor appointments.  In addition, many members have volunteered at the PCRF Run/Walk for the Cure.  We also have collected books, toys, and clothing for children at CAST and CHOC.  This past Christmas we collected over 150 books for the children at CAST.

One of our favorite activities each year is to go to the Ronald McDonald House in Orange and cook meals and/or desserts for the residents of the house.  This way they can have a good home cooked meal while tending to their children in the hospital. We are looking forward to returning to this activity once the facility remodel is complete.
